Admit Card, Answer Key and Results: The Candidate’s Document Trail
From the moment the notification appears to the day the final merit list is published, every MPPSC examination generates a trail of documents: the admit card, the answer key, the score card, the OMR sheet and the result itself. Knowing where each document appears and what it is for saves candidates from missed deadlines and unnecessary anxiety. This guide walks through the whole chain.
The Admit Card
No candidate is admitted to the Preliminary or the Main Examination without an admission card issued by the Commission. Admit cards are released on the official website before each stage, and candidates must download and print them — the card states the examination centre, the reporting time and the instructions to be followed in the hall.
Remember that the issue of an admit card does not confirm eligibility: the Commission verifies candidature at later stages, and its decision on eligibility is final.
Answer Keys and Objections
After objective-type papers, the Commission publishes model answer keys and invites objections within a fixed window. Candidates can challenge a question or an answer by submitting the prescribed format, usually with a per-question fee and supporting evidence. After the objections are examined, a final answer key is published, and evaluation proceeds on that basis.
Score Cards and OMR Sheets
For preliminary examinations, the Commission makes score cards and scanned OMR answer sheets available for download. This allows every candidate to verify exactly how their responses were recorded and evaluated. Because the preliminary examination is only a screening test, the Commission does not supply mark sheets for it by post — the online score card serves that purpose.
Results and Merit Lists
Results are declared stage by stage as official notifications:

Cut-Off Marks
Cut-off marks are decided by the Commission for each stage and category. For specialized recruitments such as the Assistant Professor examination, the Commission has also published factual clarifications about cut-off marks through press releases when public confusion arose. Separate merit lists are prepared for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities at every stage.

- Download the admit card, score card and OMR sheet as soon as each appears;
- Preserve your final result notification — it is needed during document verification and appointment formalities;
- There is no revaluation, so the published answer key and your OMR sheet are the authoritative record of your performance.
