How to Apply for MPPSC Examinations Online: A Step-by-Step Guide
Applying for an MPPSC examination is done online, and most application problems — rejected forms, wrong categories, missed fees — are avoidable. Whether you are appearing for the State Service Examination, the State Forest Service Examination or a specialized recruitment such as Assistant Professor or Medical Officer, the process follows the same broad pattern. Here is how to get it right.
Before You Start
Read the advertisement (vigyapti) end to end before touching the form. Confirm that you meet the eligibility conditions — nationality, educational qualification and age limits with any applicable relaxations — because fees paid by ineligible candidates are not refunded.
Keep the following ready as clear scans:
- A recent passport-size photograph and your signature, in the prescribed dimensions;
- Your degree certificate or proof of appearing in the qualifying examination;
- Domicile, caste, disability or ex-serviceman certificates if you claim relaxation;
- A valid photo identity document and an active e-mail address and mobile number.
The Application Steps
| Step | Action | Common mistake to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Registration | Create a profile on the application portal | Using an e-mail you no longer check |
| 2. Form filling | Enter personal, educational and category details | Name or date of birth not matching certificates |
| 3. Uploads | Upload photograph, signature and documents | Blurred or wrongly sized images |
| 4. Fee payment | Pay the prescribed examination fee online | Closing the browser before payment confirms |
| 5. Final submission | Submit and download the completed form | Not saving the PDF and payment receipt |
| 6. Correction window | Fix errors if a correction period is announced | Missing the deadline — later changes are impossible |
One Candidate, One Application
The Commission accepts only one application per candidate for an examination. Application forms received after the prescribed date are not considered, and fees received with late forms are not refunded. The Commission also reserves the right to allot the examination centre, keeping the candidate's preference in view as far as practicable.
Documents at the Main Stage
For the preliminary examination, no certificates accompany the application — it is only a screening test. But candidates declared qualified for the Main Examination must produce proof of passing the qualifying examination and attach all certificates supporting claims of age relaxation or other concessions with their main application.
If you want Commission communications sent to an address different from the one in your application, you must inform the Commission accordingly — result notices and interview letters go to the address on record.
After Submission
- Track the "What's New" section of the official website for the admit card release;
- Check every detail on the admit card the day it appears and report discrepancies immediately;
- Follow the instructions printed on the admission card — violating them can lead to disqualification;
- Keep your registration credentials safe; you will need them for the score card and OMR sheet downloads.
